The Giesta (portuguese broom) is one of the most common bushes in the Iberian Peninsula. It invades hills, growing in every possible surface.

It is also the project co-directed by Joana Guiné and Irene Sorozábal, a duo focusing on the overlap between early western notated music and oral traditions, with the mission to explore the power of storytelling in music.

B'rbicacho is a trio of three voices, three adufes, a clarinet, some recorders, two violas da gamba and several guitars. Under the artistic direction of Joana Guiné and Ana Sousa, its main mission is to research and rediscover the portuguese traditional musical heritage, presenting it on stage with new innovative formats.

La Sirena, half-bird, half-woman, half-fish, half-girl, who brings alluring melodies from a foreign land, the land of the past, who captivates the modern imagination with fantastic stories.

The mission of the Ensemble La Sirena is to bring music which still lies forgotten in the dusty, silent papers of many archives, back to life.

Joana Guiné and Punto Bawono premiered their first program in 2024, "The Journey of Maria di Medici", exploring the italian and french repertoire for lute and voice from the early 17th century. The duo aims at telling powerful stories through the power of simple, expressive songs.
