Teaching singing is one of my biggest passions and where I feel most comfortable and purposeful. Maybe because my own path towards singing was not an easy one, I enjoy helping people discover their voices and debunk widely held beliefs that singing is only meant for some special people. Singing is a universal right. Everyone can sing.

I am extremely curious about the voice and its wonders. It is a spectacular anatomical machine that gives us sounds, language, and a way to communicate and express our deepest emotions. I keep researching and learning about the voice, updating my technical knowledge—not only because, as a teacher, I must, but because I enjoy it immensely. Every day, I learn from my teachers and masters, but also from my students and the global mind, which thankfully brings together many different perspectives on how to sing.

She is taking the time to listen to your experience and actively checks in with you to adjust her teaching style to what works for you best. She has a vast technical knowledge that she is constantly expanding, you can see how passionate she is about singing and that just gives you the extra encouragement you need to keep learning!
I have learned a lot from her and she gave me the courage to even sing in public! Amazing teacher and wonderful company even for just a chat."

"Joana is a wonderful teacher and person. We always opened the lessons with breathing and grounding exercises and she taught me a lot about technique and breathing focusing mostly on classical singing. She also had answers for all my questions related to singing and breathing. She’s an artist who really knows her craft and everyone can learn a lot from her.

Eva, private student in 2022, in Amsterdam

"I have known Joana for four years as a voice teacher working as part of The After-School Music Lessons program at Amity International School in Amstelveen. She has a wonderful rapport with people and students of all ages, particularly her voice students, who admire her teaching style and are always eager to attend her lessons. Her ability to connect with students and accurately identify their unique needs is truly impressive.
Joana is a responsible, friendly, creative, and enthusiastic teacher. Her passion for teaching and dedication to her students make her an excellent educator. I recommend Joana to you without any reservations."
